Taman Paya Bakau is located between Ipoh – Lumut road and 10 minutes drive from Lumut Town. The park was first built in May 1994 and opened to the public in January 1995. The Mangrove Park aims to be a tourism product of the Manjung district based on education and information related to the ecology of mangrove forests in the country.
In 2005, the park was maintained and renovated. It has a 366 meter and 6 foot wide path that crosses mangrove swamps. At the end, 2 huts are set up for visitors for rest or do fishing. Along this route, visitors can appreciate the natural beauty of the mangrove swamp and see for themselves the life in the mangrove swamp. This pedestrian structure was again upgraded in 2017 to ensure the safety and comfort of visitors.
