Following the construction of Al-Badr Mosque with the concept of 1000 selawat, the idea arose to develop another mosque that made Doa as its main concept. This mosque was rebuilt and maintained under the name of Masjid Al-Khairiah which was completed on 24 October 2019. This idea also came from the former Menteri Besar of Perak Dato ‘Seri Diraja Dr. Zambry Abdul Kadir in collaboration with design by the Public Works Department (JKR) and interior art by Yayasan Restu. The position of the mosque which is surrounded by the majority of the Chinese community makes its design and interior decoration ideas lead to oriental motifs. The uniqueness of this mosque is further highlighted by various types of calligraphy and a collection of prayers quoted from the Quran and Hadith. While Asma-ul- Husna is displayed on the pillars of the mosque written in Chinese calligraphy. All the calligraphy in this mosque is the handiwork of the calligrapher at Yayasan Restu who is also a local Malay. The overall decoration of this mosque applies various patterns of plant motifs and geometry found in the state of Perak. Most of the designs in this mosque have oriental elements from China and also the silver identity. These motifs are taken from the Niu Jie Mosque, flowers in China such as Chinese Peony, Apple Blossom and Plum Blossom.
